She was born on November 26, 1939, as Tina Turner. She is the youngest child of Floyd Richard Bullock and Zelma Priscilla Bullock.

“Harry was really popular and had a lot of girlfriends, but eventually I got him, and we went steady for a year,” she told Rolling Stone in 1986.
After she learned that Taylor had married another woman who was carrying his child, their relationship came to an end.
Religion
Since her father served as a deacon in the Baptist church where Turner was raised and later converted to Buddhism as an adult, Turner has occasionally referred to herself as a “Buddhist Baptist.”
She stated, “I consider myself a Buddhist,” in an interview she gave with the magazine Lion’s Roar in 2016. Turner’s Buddhist altar was displayed on the cover of Jet magazine’s issue from February 15, 1979.
Turner has thanked Soka Gakkai International and the Liturgy of Nichiren Daishonin for introducing her to spirituality.
