GPA Requirement for USAFA Admissions
The US Air Force Academy has a 3.87 GPA on average.
You must be near the top of your class and far above average to get accepted to the United States Air Force Academy with a GPA of 3.87.
Your transcript should primarily reflect As. To show that you can handle academics at a college level, you should ideally have taken several AP or IB classes.
It’s challenging to change your GPA in time for college applications if you’re currently a junior or senior.
You’ll need a better SAT or ACT score to make up for a GPA that is at or below the 3.87 school average.
You will be better able to compete with applicants who have GPAs that are higher than yours thanks to this.

A 28 will appear to be an academically weak applicant because so many of the applicants scored 31 or higher.
