Students are urged to apply early because the university accepts transfer students on a rolling admissions basis, which allows application submissions throughout the year.

University Of Tampa Admissions Requirements

In order to be part of this admission, this is what is required of you as an applicant.

Filled out application

An official transcript from a recognized bachelor’s degree program demonstrating a cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 (2.75 may be considered for conditional enrollment)

Two completed professional reference forms (PDF) from people who can vouch for the applicant’s history and potential (waived for UT grads)

Personal essay outlining job aspirations, how the degree will advance one’s education and career goals, and how one can benefit from the program

Process

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis for the fall and spring terms. Until all available spots for the applicable term are filled, qualified students are admitted.

Since admission is competitive, applicants are advised to apply as soon as possible. Once all of the required documents have been obtained, students are informed of their status.

How to Apply

Admission is competitive and students are encouraged to apply early.

To apply, use

UT’s paper (PDF), online application the Common Application, or the Coalition Application.

Applications are evaluated for fall, spring, and summer terms on a rolling basis.

Students are notified of their status once all documents have been received for fall terms as follows:

Admission dates for Fall entry:

Early Action:

Applications completed by Nov. 15; notifications sent by Jan. 15.

Regular Decision:

Applications were completed between Nov. 15 and March 1; notifications were sent by March 31.

Applications completed after March 1 are evaluated on a rolling basis. 

Campus visits are strongly recommended, but personal interviews are not required.

What Do I Need To Apply to the University Of Tampa?

  1. Official high school or secondary school transcript or GED results.
  2. $40 nonrefundable application fee.
  3. SAT and/or ACT scores*
  4. Completed guidance counselor recommendation form or recommendation letter from a teacher (not required if you graduated from high school more than two years ago)

What Gpa do You Need to get into the University Of Tampa?

Students who want to pursue degrees must have a high GMAT score. Students pursuing degrees must have a 3.0 GPA or above during their entire college career. Students who are not seeking a degree must have a 3.0 overall GPA or a 3.0 GPA in the previous 60 hours of coursework.
