University of Richmond Admissions: Application Requirements
The University of Richmond Admissions offers degree programs that follow a four-year course similar to the US educational model. Before specialising in their Major, every undergraduate student will initially enrol in our Liberal Arts program.
About the University of Richmond Admissions
In Richmond, Virginia, there is a private liberal arts college called the University of Richmond (UR or U of R).
With about 4,350 undergraduate and graduate students in five schools, the School of Arts and Sciences, the E. Claiborne Robins School of Business, and the Jepson School of Leadership Studies.
However, the University of Richmond School of Law, and the School of Professional & Continuing Studies are primarily undergraduate residential institutions. Therefore, it is categorised as having an “Arts & Sciences Focus” in Baccalaureate Colleges.

Entry Requirements
For successful admission to Richmond, undergraduate applicants must meet at least one of the following academic standards.
1. A Level: 96 UCAS tariff points
2. US High School Diploma (or equivalent): 2.5 GPA minimum (on a 4.0 scale)
3. International Baccalaureate: 24 IB points
4. BTEC National Diploma: Merit (MMM)
5. Applicants to the ‘with Foundation’ programme need to achieve the following requirements at the GCSE level.
6. GCSEs: 5 at grade C or above / grade 4-9 (or equivalent)

Additional prerequisites for admittance (please note, your application will not be complete until all items below are received by admissions).
1. Application for undergraduate admission
2. Your personal statement
3. One confidential letter of academic recommendation
4. Official school transcripts (if you are a transfer applicant with less than 30 credits, you must also submit official secondary school transcripts)
5. English language test scores (required for students whose native language is not English. Please see below regarding this requirement.
6. If you have not been at school or college within the last six months, please provide a copy of your Curriculum Vitae (CV) / Resume
Deadlines
Richmond offers admission to all of its degree programs on a rolling basis. Also, we will review your application and contact you with a decision as soon as we can after receiving your completed forms and the required supporting evidence.
However, your application may still be sent, even if you are awaiting references or your final test results, and it may still be conditionally accepted.
Therefore, before registering, any further paperwork that the university requires must be delivered to the admissions office.
