About the Sponsor: Indian Council for Cultural Relations

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), is an autonomous organization of the Government of India, involved in India’s external cultural relations, through cultural exchange with other countries and their peoples.

It was founded on 9 April 1950 by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of independent India.

Eligibility for the ICCR Scholarship 2023 Bangladesh

  •    Eligible Countries: Applicants from Bangladesh are eligible to apply for the ICCR scholarship.
  •  Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have a BE / B Tech degree or must apply for the course, their school-college syllabus must include Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.
  •  English Language Requirements: Candidates who wish to get scholarships must be proficient in English and have at least 60 percent marks in the past examination or 3 in GPA 5. Candidates will have to take part in the 30-minute English proficiency test, whose time and place will be announced.
  •  The Applicant should be at least 18 years of age by July.

Note: As per ICCR rules, all students will have to stay in the hostels. No exception for family/health reasons to stay outside is entertained.

How to Apply for ICCR Scholarship

  •  To apply online for interested students, you need to create your own private login ID and password. The applicants are requested to apply online through the instructions. The applicant should keep the following points during the application process.
  •  Those BE / B Tech. Must apply for the course, in their school-college syllabus must include Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.
  •  The applicant’s age must be 18 in July.
  •  All students must stay in the hostel. It cannot be outside without family and health reasons.
  •  The last date for submission of the online application is January 20, 5.00 pm on Saturday. Candidates will have to take part in the 30-minute English proficiency test, it will announce time and place.

Instruction to a candidate for filling the application form, the application should be complete with all the required information and all necessary supporting documents, as listed below:





  •  A recent passport-size photograph not over 3.5×4.5cm (25kb) should be uploaded on the application form in the space provided. The photograph should be with a white background and without spectacles.
  •  Copies of all academic qualifications, certificates, and mark sheets, including those relating to school-leaving examination, must be uploaded.
  •  A certificate of physical fitness in the prescribed form.
  •  Recommendations/character certificates from existing school/University, etc
  •  Certified copies of relevant pages of candidate’s valid passport showing photograph, name, contact details, date of issue, date of expiry, and place of issue. Please ensure that your passport is valid for the duration of the course for which you have applied.
  •  At the time of uploading the required documents kindly ensure that all documents uploaded correctly in the module e.g. module for educational certificates should only be uploaded with the educational certificates only not other documents such as passport copies or photographs, etc.
  •  Original Certificates/ documents must be carried by the Applicant if admitted for verification by the concerned university/ Institute at the time of joining. This requirement otherwise admission can be canceled by the University/ Institute and the ICCR will not be responsible for this.
  •  With Engineering courses, you must have Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) in your school leaving examinations as this is mandatory for Engineering courses.
  •  They request candidates to apply on the portal along with the following compulsory details of their Personal/Academic details.
  •  Passport Number.
  •  Age Proof (Birth Certificate /Any Unique Identity issued by the Government indicating a clear date of Birth)
  •  Synopsis detail in case of Ph.D. candidates
