The Enugu State College of Education (Technical), Enugu, was established by Enugu State House of Assembly Law No. 2 on April 11, 2006, during the tenure of Senator Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani as the Executive Governor of Enugu State.
The college was initially conceived as a training center for teachers specializing in technical education. It aims to be unique by focusing primarily on training technical and vocational education teachers while also addressing academic areas of study.
At Enugu State College of Education Technical (ESCET), they offer NCE programs on different courses. Prospective candidates who wish to apply to the college must meet the Enugu State College of Education Technical Enugu admission requirements.
Enugu State College of Education Technical Enugu Admission Requirements
1. PRE-NCE: Candidates with WAEC results or equivalent qualifications, including those with fewer than five credits, are eligible to apply. This one-year program is designed to prepare candidates for direct admission into the NCE program.
2. NCE (REGULAR): Candidates must have a minimum score of 100 marks or above in the UTME, along with a WAEC result or its equivalent, with at least five credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
3. NCE (PART-TIME): Candidates must possess a WAEC certificate or its equivalent with a minimum of five credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
4. DEGREE (UTME): Candidates must achieve a minimum score of 160 in the UTME and possess at least five credits in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
5. DEGREE (DIRECT ENTRY): Candidates must possess a minimum of an NCE, OND, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution of higher learning.
6. PDE (REGULAR)/ PDE (PART-TIME): Candidates must possess a minimum of an HND certificate or a degree certificate from a recognized institution of higher learning.
7. DEGREE SCREENING EXERCISE: Information can be obtained from the Admissions Department of the Registry Division.
How to Apply for Post UTME Form
1. Visit the ESCET post-UTME screening portal. Use your JAMB registration number as your user name and follow the steps:
2. Generate your REMITA Retrieval Reference (RRR] with your JAMB registration Number as the User Name and password as the default password.
3. Proceed to make a payment of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only as online fees into an ESCET account using any Bank of your choice.
4. Upload your current passport photograph.
5. Fill out the Bio-Data Form and other relevant fields given.
6. Indicate your scratch card PIN for ‘O’ level verification (i.e., WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB). If you are awaiting results for any relevant subjects, please indicate this, and updates can be made at a later date.
Note that the original copies of your credentials will be verified during the physical screening at the Faculty or Central levels to confirm your qualification for the chosen course.
