Africa Elite Scholarship Programme for Africans in Taiwan 2023

The Ministry of Education (MOE) of Taiwan is now giving twenty scholarships to African lecturers interested in pursuing a degree program in Taiwan.

This scholarship program aims to assist Africa in developing high-level professionals and expanding the breadth of academic cooperation.

Eligible Countries: International

 

Type: Master’s and PhD

 

Value of Award: The scholarship offers a monthly allowance of NT$25,000 (R13, 247.09), which covers tuition and miscellaneous expenses (such as insurance, Internet fee, dorm accommodation)

 

Eligibility:

 

A person who is now enrolled as a student at any Taiwanese university or tertiary college, or who previously studied in Taiwan as an exchange student or double major. This prohibition does not apply to a student who will complete his or her degree and graduate in the same year. They are eligible to apply for a Taiwan Scholarship to pursue a higher education in Taiwan.

A person who has previously studied in Taiwan for a degree of the same level as the one they wish to pursue;

A individual who has held a scholarship from the Africa Elite Scholarship Programme for more than three years;

Any person who has received a scholarship or subsidy from a Taiwanese educational institution.

Application Process: Students are encouraged to apply directly to Taiwanese universities, as application forms are available on their websites.
