Abia State Polytechnic is a state government-owned Polytechnic built in 1992 and the location is at the state capital, Abia State, here in Nigeria.
However, the prestigious Polytechnic is made up of different schools, for example, the School of Business Administration and the School of Science & Engineering.
Notwithstanding, you’ll need to meet certain basic requirements which include at least 5 credits in not more than 2 sittings in WASCE/NECO/NABTEB in addition to Mathematics, English, and 3 other relevant subjects.
How to Check Admission Status on the JAMB Portal
Follow these simple steps and procedures below to check your admission status on the JAMB CAPS Portal/JAMB Admission Checking Portal respectively.
2. With your username and password log in to your Jamb Profile
3. Locate and click the Check Admission Status tab
4. Click on Admission Status
5. Then click on Check admission status or click on Access my CAPS
6. What will pop up on the screen will either be: i) Congratulations ii) admission in progress check back later iii) Not Admitted.
7. If the candidate saw NOT ADMITTED as your admission status. This indicates or implies that you have not been offered provisional admission at your institution of choice.
8. In the case of Admission in Progress, this therefore means that you have been recommended for admission and only undergoing processing.
9. If you see admission in progress, then be patient, the status will change in a few days or weeks. Just check back after some time.
10. Congratulations simply mean you have finally gotten provisional admission. What you need to do is to just proceed to accept or reject the offer and wait for another instruction that will follow.
Credentials Needed for Physical Verification
1. Online screening slip
2. Physical screening invitation letter
3. Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
4. O’level Results of not more than 2 sittings
5. Scratch card PIN for (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, GRADE II) or Original Certificates
6. Indigene Letters
7. As well as NCE/NDE/IJMB for Direct Entry Candidates.
