Admission Requirement

Requirements for admission into the General Nursing Programme of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria must possess the Senior Secondary School Certificate with five credits.

WASC/NECO or GCE which should include among others English Language, Mathematics, and Three (3) Science Subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) at no more than two sittings. Duration of Training: Three Calendar Years.

List of Material Students are to Bring to the School

Each student shall be responsible for his/her uniform. On arrival, a sample of the white material and pattern will be shown to you for guidance.

However, you are advised to come with at least two thousand naira (N2,000.00) only for the white material for females and three Thousand naira (N3,000.00) only for male textron white.

Also, each female student is required to Wear black underwear and black braziers while in uniform and is advised to buy not less than two of each of these materials for use.

Please note that:

Pregnancy/Abortion: all unmarried students who become pregnant or commit an abortion at any stage of training will be dismissed from the school. No change of name is allowed after indexing.

Can I Combine WAEC and NECO for Nursing?

Candidates must have at least five credits, obtained in not more than two sittings. Therefore, these credits must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in WAEC, NECO, and/or NABTEB.

Combinations of WAEC/WAEC, NECO/NECO, and WAEC/NECO are acceptable.
