The student email is given to all students upon admission to the UKZN. Below are steps to help you through accessing your ukzn email.
The Institution of KwaZulu-Natal is a South African university with five campuses in the KwaZulu-Natal area. The University of Natal and the University of Durban-Westville merged on January 1, 2004, to establish the University of Natal-Westville.
In 2004, the University of Natal and the University of Durban (Westville) merged to become the university.
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings placed UKZN fourth among South African universities, and the QS World University Rankings placed it sixth.

How to Access UKZN student email
- Go to the http://my.ukzn.ac.za website;
- Click on Login;
- Next, enter your Student Number details in the following format: StudentNumber@stu.ukzn.ac.za, e.g., 998765432@stu.ukzn.ac.za, and press Enter;
- You will then receive a pop-up box to enter your login details;
- Again, enter Student Number details, e.g., 998765432@stu.ukzn.ac.za;
- Next, enter your UKZN Lan password (the password you use when logging into a computer in the student Lan);
- After that, you will be logged in to your Office365 e-mailbox.
