As organizers of South Africa Idols (Idols SA) are about to open the new Idols SA Season in 2024, Applicants are asked to apply now as the requirements are listed below.
Idols SA is open to all South Africans between the age of 16 and 30 before the day of your audition.
What do you need to have before applying for the Idols SA online audition?
- Full Name
- SA ID Number
- Contact phone number
- WhatsApp number
- Contact e-mail address.
How to Register for Idols SA (Season 19) 2024
1. Record a 30-second video clip of you singing. Your audition should Not Be Longer Than 30 Seconds, so choose the part of your song that best shows off your voice.
Please Note: No instruments or backtracks are allowed and no talking or intro, just singing.
2. Log onto www.idolssa.tv/audition
3. Fill out the form on the page correctly so that you can be contacted by the Idols SA Team in case your audition is successful.
4. Attach your 30-second audition video clip and submit.

How do I vote on Idols 2024 online?
- Vote on Idols SA website (Computer) at www.idolssa.tv/vote.
- Vote on Idols SA mobile site (Smartphone or Tablets) at www.idolssa.tv/vote.
- Download and vote on the MyDStv App.
- Vote by texting the contestant’s number (to be announced on your TV screen) to 37400.
How to vote for Idols SA 2024
To Vote for Idols SA 2024, you need to go to the Idols SA official website or vote through the mobile. The voting is completely free, but first, you’ll need to create an account ONLY if you didn’t create one already. Those that register before do not need to register again as voters, Use that your account to vote.
Voting through the DStv app is also free and if you are already registered for voting on the Official Idols SA site, all you need to do is log in to the app. Below are the complete details:

- Next, log into the app by entering your Mobile number or Email Address and your DStv Connect Password
- After you have logged into the DStv app, you may vote for your favourite contestant(s) by clicking on the “Vote” banner inside the app. This will load the Idols SA voting webpage.
- Click on REGISTER and enter your Name, Surname, Year of Birth, Gender, Location and Cellphone Number in the international format e.g. +27731234567 and your Preferred password.
