GPA Requirements of URI Admissions
URI expects you to be in the middle of your high school class with a GPA of 3.5. A mixture of A and B grades are required, with relatively few Cs.
You can make up for a low GPA by enrolling in challenging courses like AP or IB programs. This will show your capacity to take college courses and raise your weighted GPA.
It’s challenging to change your GPA in time for college applications if you’re currently a junior or senior.
You’ll need a better SAT or ACT score to make up for a GPA that is at or below the 3.5 school average. You will be better able to compete with applicants who have GPAs that are higher than yours thanks to this.
