Temple University GPA Requirements

Many colleges list a minimal GPA requirement, although this is frequently simply the bare minimum to submit an application without instantly being rejected.

The GPA criterion that counts is the GPA needed to have a genuine probability of admission. We examine the average GPA of the school’s current students for this.

You must be in the middle of your high school class to be admitted to Temple University with a 3.54 GPA. There shouldn’t be too many Cs and more A’s and B’s. With harder coursework like AP or IB classes, you can make up for a lower GPA.

By doing so, you’ll be able to show your college-readiness and raise your weighted GPA.

It’s challenging to change your GPA in time for college applications if you’re currently a junior or senior.

You’ll need a better SAT or ACT score to make up for a GPA that is at or below the 3.54 school average. You will be better able to compete with applicants who have GPAs that are higher than yours thanks to this.

SAT and ACT Requirements

Standardized testing requirements vary from school to school. The SAT or ACT are typically required, and many schools also demand SAT subject assessments.

Although Temple University hasn’t stated a policy on SAT/ACT requirements, it is probably test flexible given that it has released average SAT or ACT scores (we’ll discuss this next). Typically, these institutions claim, “Please submit your SAT or ACT results if you believe they accurately reflect you as a student. If not, don’t.”

Most students still take the SAT or ACT, and most candidates to Temple University will submit their scores, despite this requirement. If you don’t submit your results, you’ll have one less way than other applicants to show why you should be allowed.

Therefore, we advise you to think about taking the SAT or ACT and doing well on it.

Application Deadline

The deadline for Temple’s normal admissions applications is February 1. The Temple early action application deadline is November 1 for interested students.
