Arizona admissions are somewhat selective with an acceptance rate of 87%. Students that get into the Arizona Board of Regents have an average SAT score between 1120 – 1370 or an average ACT score of 21-29.

Admission Requirements
The following is required for admission:

2. 4 years of English language arts
3. 4 years of math (Algebra 1-2, Geometry, Algebra 3-4, and an advanced math class for which Algebra 3-4 is a prerequisite)
4. 3 years of lab science, one year each from three of the following: biology, chemistry, Earth science, or physics (an integrated science or an advanced science may be substituted for one required course)
5. 2 years of social studies, including one year of American history
6. 2 years of the same foreign language
7. 1 year fine arts or a combination of two semesters of high school fine arts or Career and Technical Education (CTE)

Tuition and Fees
Arizona Board of Regents (ABOR) has approved its new 2023-24 tuition values and growth rates for the next five years for ASU, UArizona, and NAU. The tuition will be starting in the 2024-25 academic year, and growth rates for resident tuition, housing, and meal plans will also be implemented.
The undergraduate tuition for NAU will increase from $8,228 to $11,352. Additionally, ASU and UArizona have also increased their tuition rates by 3%.
All three universities will set their undergraduate resident tuition rate above $11,000 with UArizona having the highest tuition at $11,871.
The cost of NAU student housing will increase by 4.25% or approximately $305 per year. Meal plan costs will also increase by an average of 6%, about $316 per year.
To assist with the cost of tuition, NAU will implement its Access2Excellence (A2E) program in fall 2024, which guarantees full tuition coverage to Arizona students with a household income of less than $65,000 per year.
