Abia State School of Nursing Admission Requirements

There is no age limit provided the candidate satisfies basic entry requirements.

O’ Level credits at not more than two (2) sittings in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, WAEC & NECO can be combined white NABTEB stands alone.

The subjects passed must include English language, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology at least, credit levels.

How Much is the Abia State School of Nursing Fee?

The governor said that no student was meant to pay any other fees, apart from the one approved by the government.

According to him, they were meant to pay the sum of N260,000, before his administration was inaugurated. But it was reviewed downward to N215,000, to make it affordable for parents to pay the fees.

What’s the Difference Between Basic Nursing and Post-Basic Nursing?

The BASIC Nursing programme is 3 years while the POST BASIC Nursing programme is 18 months. The BASIC Nursing programme is for Secondary School leavers with at least 5 credits.

This includes English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics while POST BASIC Nursing programme is for Registered Midwives.

Can I Use NABTEB to Enter School of Nursing?

Candidates must possess at least five (5) credits at not more than two (2) sittings including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics in WAEC, NECO and/or NABTEB.

A combination of WAEC, and NECO is acceptable. NABTEB cannot be combined with WAEC or NECO or another NABTEB is acceptable too.
