How to Get Your UCT Student Email Address
- Staff and students are given an email account upon their arrival at UCT.
- UCT staff, postdoctoral fellows, and third-party email account holders have a preferredname.surname@uct.ac.za email address. Undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students have the email address of studentnumber@myuct.ac.za.
- UCT retirees can keep their UCT mailbox indefinitely, whereas they automatically assigned UCT graduates a name.surname@alumni.uct.ac.za email address.
- UCT’s mail servers are hosted on Office 365, a cloud-based email system, but ICTS still manage all end-user administration and support.
