For South African Applicants:
- Certified copy of your Identification Documents (ID)
- Certified copy of your Grade 12 exam results or
- Certified copy of your Grade 11 (if you’re currently doing Grade 12)
- Email address and Phone Number.
For International Applicants:
- Certified copy of your Identification Document (ID) of your home country.
- Certified copy of your home country’s Passport Number.
- Study Visa in South Africa.
- English Proficiency.
- Medical Aid.
- Proof of IELTS at an overall score of 6 and TOEFL at an average score of 80–104 for Undergraduate programs.
- Copy of the University of Free State English Language Programme Test (if necessary).

- Once you click on the link above, they will direct you to fill in your biographical information.
- Next step is to purchase the non-refundable application fee of R100 to the University of Free State portal.
- Follow every steps given on the page to purchase the application form online. Thereafter, your reference number (student number) will be sent to the email address you provided.
- Follow all the guidelines on the page and upload the documents needed to apply.
- Clicking the SUBMIT AND PRINT button will submit the form.
- Make sure you provide correct information before submitting the form. Changes after form submission is not allowed.
Important Things to Note About UFS Admission 2024
Inconsistency in name or picture on the registration slip is unacceptable to the university and may cause candidates to be disqualified.
- Candidates’ names must match their ‘A’ or ‘O’ Level certificates and other registration documents.
- Candidates must be sixteen (16) years old or older to take part in the exercise.
- A change in the program after they have submitted the application forms will NOT be permitted.
- Candidates must use their own valid personal telephone (GSM) numbers and email addresses to register.
- Applicants must ensure that they post application forms early enough so that they arrive before the submission deadline, as forms received after the deadline will not be processed.
