Submit your NSFAS student funding application as soon as you can because you have a limited amount of time to do so.

Applications for student funding through the National Student Financial Aid Scheme are still open and only two days remain before the closing deadline.

If you have not applied yet, here is how you can do it.

How to Apply for NSFAS

  • Create a myNSFAS account via this link: https://my.nsfas.org.za/&nbsp
  • Click on the ‘Apply’ tab to update your personal information
  • Upload your application supporting documents
  • Submit your application

When submitting your NSFAS application ensure that you have the following support documents:

  • A copy of ID. A temporary ID issued by the Department of Home Affairs will be accepted
  • Non-Sassa applicants must provide ID copies of parent/s, legal guardian/guardian, or spouse
  • Smart ID cards: a copy with both sides of the smart ID must be provided
  • Proof of income: applicant and/or parents/legal guardian/spouse (where applicable (non-SASSA) should provide the latest payslip, not older than 3 months, UIF letter, appointment letter, retrenchment letter (applicant and/or parent(s), legal guardian/spouse)
  • A person with disabilities: to complete Disability Annexure A form.

Alternatively, you can also submit your NSFAS funding application at one of the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) centers across the country.

The NYDA assists students who have not yet applied, especially those who are located in remote areas without internet access.
