The programs are all loaded on the CPUT system. You will receive an SMS verifying that the institution has received your application after they have submitted it into the system. Please remember that this is not a letter of acceptance.

1. Track Your Application

Prospective applicants, who have handed in an application form, can track the progress of their application online or by calling.

2. Start Studying

Successful candidates will get written notification from the institution confirming their acceptance. The start of class and the dates and hours for registration will be communicated to you.

3. Submit Your Final Marks

At the start of the academic year, students who applied with their Grade 11 and mid-year Grade 12 marks must present a certified copy of their final Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification marks. Students who fail to turn in their final grades will forfeit their admittance.

How Do You Check Your CPUT Application Status?

  • To check the status of your application at CPUT, Kindly Visit the CPUT application status tracker page here >> https://www.cput.ac.za/study/track
  • Enter your personal information for verification, your personal details such as Student number, Surname /Last name, first name(s) /Forename(s), or email address, and
    the password you used when you applied for admission will be required to check your application status at CPUT.
  • Fill in the required details and hit the next button, from there You will see your application status (i.e. Pending Review, Requires Action, Complete, Undergraduate
    Admission Decisions, Pending, Admitted, Cleared Provisional, Admission, Ineligible, Quota Filled Not Selected or Cancelled)
  • You will also be able to see what documents they have received and if they need additional documents to complete your application. Once all required documents have been received, including official copies of transcripts and certificates you have attended, your application will be reviewed for a decision.
  • Your department will decide according to their established timelines. Once the Office of Admissions receives the decision from the department, we will notify you via mail.
  • You can check the status of your application, by logging in to your CPUT applicant portal.
