If you are a Sassa grant recipient, you may be wondering when you will receive your grant payment. The payment schedule for the rest of the year is as follows.
The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) provides grants and allowances to disadvantaged South Africans in need of financial assistance.
These include grants for children, grants for the elderly, grants for people with disabilities, and the R350 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant.
Beneficiaries can receive their Sassa grant payments via Sassa card, CashSend, or direct deposit into their bank account. Payments can be collected at participating supermarkets such as Pick n Pay, Boxer, Shoprite, Checkers, and USave.
Here are the grant payment dates for the rest of 2023:
October:

It is also worth noting that they do not set these payment dates in stone and may change. Beneficiaries can check the SRD grant website for the most up-to-date payment dates.
Earlier this year, Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana announced that they would increase social grants in October.
In October, they will increase the Disability Grant by R1 990. In October, the War Veterans Grant will be increased to R2 010.
The Old Age Grant has been increased to R1 980 (in April) and will then be increased to R1 990. (in October). They increased the grant for people over the age of 75 by 5.2% to R2 000 (in April) and then to R2 010. (in October). Sassa has not yet confirmed these figures.
SASSA Grant Payments for October 2023

They distribute Sassa grants via PayPoint and banks. Beneficiaries who collect their grant online must log into their Sassa account to view the payment date and amount, which will vary depending on the number of children supported.
Meanwhile, beginning September 1, all South Africans receiving free national social grants from the South African government will collect their Sassa grants at ATMs and retail outlets.
