Newmont\u2019s industry-leading performance is reflected through high standards in environmental management, health and safety for its employees, and creating value and opportunity for host communities and shareholders. <strong>About This Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Are you able to coordinate environmental aspects relating to the closure and concurrent reclamation program, while ensuring adherence and compliance to all related environmental policies, procedures and standards, Ghanaian laws and regulations, as well as Newmont\u2019s Corporate Environmental Standards at all times?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>In This Role You Will<\/strong><strong>Closure and Reclamation<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop scope and workplan for concurrent reclamation program on an annual basis, and provide support for its execution and monitoring to ensure compliance to approved reclamation and closure plans and success criteria.<\/li>\n<li>Provide liaison support with the operations team to contribute to the creation of an endto-end Life of Mine (LOM) plan that accommodates for concurrent reclamation and meets the agreed closure criteria.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the review of closure and reclamation designs.<\/li>\n<li>Provide support for the preparation and update of the LOM closure and reclamation costs estimates.<\/li>\n<li>Support the coordination and the collation of all necessary information for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reclamation bonding process.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate field work activities of consultants engaged for closure and reclamation related projects.<\/li>\n<li>Develop, implement and measure success of Ahafo concurrent reclamation.<\/li>\n<li>Update Ahafo\u2019s closure plan as required, and track progress against targets and objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor all land disturbances from project development and related construction activities to ensure optimum stripping, stockpiling and management of top soil as well as compliance to all requirements and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Provide direct field support in the implementation of the bushfire prevention strategy and supervision of personnel engagement as part of the bushfire prevention program.<\/li>\n<li>Collect monitoring data related to revegetation dynamics, soil characteristics, and optimization of plant growth and prepare documentation and reports of reclamation success criteria.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Waste Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor waste management contractors to ensure compliance to procedures and other requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Provide continuous improvement initiatives for the waste management program.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise Technicians assigned to the waste management facilities to ensure they comply with procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Review waste streams periodically to ensure the waste management plan has comprehensive coverage .<\/li>\n<li>Manage waste data for reporting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Seedling Nursery Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervise Technicians assigned to the nursery to produce seedlings per the workplan developed for each period.<\/li>\n<li>Identify the right sources of quality seeds or saplings, ensure proper storage and production of seedlings.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure effective maintenance of the seedlings produced at the nursery.<\/li>\n<li>Manage inventory of tools and materials for concurrent reclamation activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Your Training, Skills &amp;
