1. Degree

2. Transcripts
There is no need to submit official transcripts with the application. After the program recommends acceptance, the Graduate School will send an informational email request.

3. Grades
It is necessary to have a master’s degree with a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or a minimum undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on the equivalent of the last 60 semester hours (about two years of study).
An undergraduate or master’s degree applicant from an overseas institution must show strong academic success, equivalent to a 3.00.
The grading system used by your school will be used by the Graduate School. Do not change your grades to a scale of 4.00.
4. GRE

Some programs have decided to eliminate or give flexibility with their GRE requirement due to COVID-19-related difficulties.
5. International financial information
International applicants must have enough money set aside to meet their living expenses while attending UW-Madison.
