Before You Apply
Before you get started, take note of these important details:
UTSA accepts applications via ApplyTexas and Common App. Choose one! Please refrain from submitting your application to both sites.
1. Students who are interested in a degree program that is entirely online should apply through UTSA Online.
2. Please submit only one application per term.
3. You are responsible for ensuring that all required documentation is received at UTSA by the application deadline (not postmarked).
4. An Admission decision cannot be processed until your admission file is complete (i.e. UTSA has received your application, fees, test scores, documentation, etc.)
5. All documents in support of an application become the property of UTSA and cannot be returned.
6. Offers of admission are valid only for the term indicated in the admittance letter.
How to Apply
Follow the steps below on how to apply to UTSA as a freshman.

4. Submit Academic Records

When to Apply
On the day of the deadline, 5:00 p.m., all necessary papers, transcripts, payments, and test results must be on file.
Weekend and UTSA holiday deadlines will be postponed until 5:00 p.m. the next business day. Incomplete applications will not be taken into consideration for admission to UTSA for the semester for which they apply.
Students interested in programs that are entirely online should adhere to UTSA Online deadlines.
What GPA do You need to get into UTSA?
With a GPA of 3.4, UTSA requires you to be around average in your high school class. You’ll need a mix of A’s and B’s, and very few C’s.
If you have a lower GPA, you can compensate with harder courses like AP or IB classes. This will help boost your weighted GPA and show your ability to take college classes.

How long does it take for UTSA to Accept You?
There are various ways to submit admission documents depending on the type. The turnaround time for processing is two weeks.
Note: The turnaround time to make an application decision is 4-6 weeks once an application is complete.
How do you know if you got Admitted to UTSA?
You can check your admission status anytime on ASAP, your online student portal. Once you’ve logged in, navigate to the “Future Roadrunner” tab to see your various statuses.
In order to log in ASAP, you must claim your myUTSA ID.
