There is no set curriculum that must be followed outside of mathematics, though admitted students usually enroll in the most challenging English, Science, Social Studies, Foreign Language, and Arts courses they can find.

The unweighted average GPA for the incoming freshmen class of 2023 ranges from 3.75 to 4.00. The SAT range for USC is between 1340 and 1530, and the ACT range is between 30 and 34.

USC requires the following from first-year students:

1. Common Application and use Writing Supplements.

2. Official Test Scores: SAT or ACT. USC does not require the writing section for either the ACT or the SAT general test.

3. Official transcripts of all high school and college coursework completed.

4. Letters of Recommendation: One letter is required from either your school counselor or teacher. Some departments may require two letters of recommendation, For example, the School of Cinematic Arts.

5. Portfolio, resume and/or additional writing samples, if required by major. Performance majors may also require auditions.

6. Submit your fall grades via the common application or applicant portal.

7. Essay and short-answer responses.

For Transfer Students

USC requires the following from transfer students:

1. Common Application.

2. Official final high school transcripts.

3. Official college transcripts from all colleges attended.

4. Letters of recommendation (optional, although may be required for some majors).

5. Portfolio, resume and/or additional writing samples, if required by major. Performance majors may also require auditions.

6. Essay and responses to short answer topics.

International Applicants must have the following:

1. Official copies of academic records from all secondary schools, pre-university programs, colleges, and universities attended. They must be submitted in their native language, with a translation in English, if the native language is not English.

2. External examination results, like GCSE/IGCSE results, IB or A-level results, Indian based examination results, Australian ATAR, e.t.c

USC requires the following from graduate applicants:

1. Official transcripts from previous institutions attended.

2. GRE/GMAT Scores or other tests. Scores are considered valid only if earned within five years to the month of your intended first term at USC.

Additional Requirements for International Students include:

What time do USC decisions come out today?

Decisions will be available on March 30 in the USC Applicant Portal. Students will receive an email notifying them when their decision has been posted.

How long does USC take to make a decision?

The length of time required to make a decision varies by the program, type of degree, as well as the size of the applicant pool.

Most applicants to the fall term receive decision notifications by June. Most applicants to the spring term receive decision notifications by December.
