The COA includes an estimate of a student’s typical living expenses and the typical educational costs (tuition, fees, and books) (housing, food, transportation, and other miscellaneous expenses).

Fordham University Tuition Financial Aid

Both full-time and part-time students can get financial aid. Please submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online at in order to be considered for financial help.

Full-time students are those who enroll in 12 or more credits per semester; part-time students enroll in 6 to 11 credits.

In order to partially finance their education, students can find programs offering grants, scholarships, and loans with the help of the Office of Student Financial Services on each campus.

They can also provide information on the Hope Scholarship Federal Tax Credit for part-time adult students and help with the application process for federal Pell Grants, the Stafford Student Loan Programs, the Aid to Part-Time Students (APTS), and the New York State Tuition Assistance Plan (TAP).



Fordham University Tuition Work Study

Fordham University Tuition Grant

The federal government funds Pell awards and can cost between $692 and $6895.

By submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, eligibility is established (FAFSA). Your eligibility for this grant will be indicated on a Student Aid Report (SAR), which you will receive. You will be instructed to review and update all data as required.

Fordham University Tuition Loan

When a borrower takes out a loan that is subsidized, the federal government pays the interest (subsidized) while the borrower is engaged in school. For unsubsidized loans, the borrower pays the interest that accrues throughout the grace and in-school periods back.

You do not need to show financial need to be eligible for an unsubsidized loan, but need is a requirement for subsidized loan eligibility.

Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loan payments are deferred until the end of the student’s grace and in-school periods.

For Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loans disbursed first on or after July 1, 2023, but before July 1, 2023, a fixed interest rate of 4.99% applies.

For Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loans first disbursed on or after July 1, 2023, but before July 1, 2023, there will be a net origination charge of 1.057%.

Fordham University Tuition Scholarship

The scholarship committees in the Office of Undergraduate Admission administer some of Fordham’s merit-based awards. In addition, if a student qualifies, the Office of Financial Services may give out additional merit- and/or need-based prizes.

For the following scholarships, they will take all applicants for undergraduate admission into consideration.

They include the application for these awards in the student’s admissions application. Applicants are not required to submit a SAT or ACT score in order to be evaluated for scholarships, under their test-optional policy.

The tuition, board, and fee award from the Cunniffe Presidential Scholarship is renewable for four years. A maximum of $20,000 over four years is also available to recipients to use for academic enrichment activities.

Each year given to the top 20–25 admitted students. Most Cunniffe Presidential Scholars are among the top 2% of their high school graduating class.
