Academic Scholarships are given out based on the student’s admissions application shortly after they are accepted into the College. For these funding options, returning students are not eligible to apply.

Each year, the academic achievement scholarships offered by Eckerd College honor deserving candidates for admission.

These merit-based scholarships, which are available to students without visa requirements to study in the US, are awarded without regard to financial need and are based on the high school graduate’s grade point average.

Our academic awards are automatically awarded to students who are accepted without constraints based on their internally determined GPA. All scholarships awarded based on merit are re-eligible.

Academic achievement scholarships range from $12,000 to $22,000 and are given annually for four years to applicants for the Fall 2023 admissions cycle. Only tuition fees may be used to offset these scholarships. To learn more about scholarships, Click here.

Eckerd College Tuition Loan

Many students must borrow money to cover their educational costs. The easiest approach to pay for college expenses is with federally subsidized loans because they have lower interest rates than private ones.

Repayment starts whenever you are no longer at least half-time enrolled in school. You can apply for an extended repayment plan if you need more time than the regular ten-year payback period.

If a borrower works in specific government or armed forces positions, both the Federal Perkins Loan and the Federal Direct Loan programs offer loan forgiveness options.

All students are eligible for the low-interest Federal Direct Loan program. Annual changes in federal interest rates are possible. During a period of up to 10 years, repayment starts six months after the borrower no longer enrolls at least half-time.

The federal government will be responsible to pay the interest on the Federal Direct Loan for the students.

An unsubsidized Federal Direct Loan accrues interest; however, the interest payments may be capitalized. Upon the start of repayment, the principal balance will also include the capitalized interest amount.

Eckerd College Tuition Grant

Students who apply for financial aid through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid are given the Eckerd College Grant (FAFSA).

Grants are determined by the financial need of the student. As long as the student keeps a 2.0 cumulative GPA, these prizes are re-eligible for four years.

Students who receive Federal Pell Grants and exhibit exceptional financial need are eligible for the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG), which Eckerd College offers.

Since there is a limited supply of these scholarships, it is advised that students apply as soon as possible to ensure thorough consideration. The top grant amount is $6,895 at the moment.

Eckerd College offers the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) to students who are Federal Pell Grant recipients and demonstrate exceptional financial need.

Students are recommended to apply as soon as possible to assure full consideration because there are only a limited number of these scholarships available.
