Campus Living Requirements for FGCU Freshmen

Unless you qualify for one of the following exceptions, FGCU freshmen are obliged to live on campus:

  • You are old enough to drink.
  • You are over 21 years of age.
  • You are living with your parents or legal guardians within 30 miles of the campus.
  • You are married.
  • You have dependent children.
  • Because of a health condition, you must reside away from campus.

Housing

New and continuing students can thrive in the campus living communities provided by the Honors College.

First Year Housing

The decision to live on campus in our Honors Living Learning Community is the best way for first-year students to quickly get to know other Honors students and get involved in everything the college has to offer (LLC).

Upper-Level Housing

For those who are not first-year college students, honors housing is available in North Lake Village at FGCU, which is near Eagle’s Landing and the lakeside picnic and recreation area.

It is also situated directly on the water. Students who live in the 96-bed Honors Building receive individual bedrooms and access to a variety of services.
