To be fully accepted into the University of Houston, you must have a Composite Predictive Index (CPI) score of 18 or higher.
The CPI score is a combination of the high school grade point average (GPA) and ACT/SAT scores. The GPA, however, cannot be lower than 2.0.
The University of Houston Admission Requirements
University of Houston Applicants must meet the below requirements, including the English language proficiency requirements, and portfolio requirements.

The University of Houston Admission Requirements is a Minimum of 60% in English 30-1 or a minimum of 65% in English 30-2 or provincial equivalent. Minimum 60% in three additional Grade 12 courses.
The Management of the University of Houston (UH) has stated that all Applicants are to take notes of these Admission Requirements before Applying for Admission.

Transfer and Former Student Admission Requirements
Applicants with 15 or more hours must hereby meet the following conditions for approval into NSM:
1. 2.50 GPA or greater in ALL college-level work attempted.
2. 2.50 GPA or greater in ALL college-level Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Mathematics, and Physics courses attempted.
3. Also, with a 2.50 GPA or greater in ALL courses from either CATEGORY I or CATEGORY II attempted.
