How Can You Make a Difference?

1. Under the overall guidance of the Deputy Representative, the Chief is responsible for managing and supervising all stages of education programs/projects.
2. This includes strategic planning and formulation, as well as delivery of results on strengthening national education systems to improve learning outcomes, and universal access to quality, equitable, and inclusive.
3. However, primary/early childhood education, and renewed involvement in secondary education, especially for children who are marginalized, disadvantaged, and excluded in society.
4. S/he leads a group of professional and support staff to develop and manage the education program in the country.

To Qualify as an Advocate for Every Child 

1. An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in one of the following fields: education, economics, psychology, sociology, or another relevant technical field.

2. Also, a minimum of eight (8)years of relevant professional experience in program planning, management, and/or research in education at the international level is compulsory.

3. Hence, developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergencies is considered an asset.

4. Also, relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered an asset.

5. Fluency in English is compulsory. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
