Application Form Cost:

1. Direct Applicant (Diploma and Degree Programmes): GH¢220.00

2. Mature Entrance Examination Applicants: GH¢220.00

Note: Additional payment of GH¢250.00 into the University of Cape Coast – College of Distance Education Remittance Account Number 3021200000032 is required for registration, tuition, examination, and course pack for preparatory classes.

Online Application Process:

1. At the various Sale Centers, applicants will receive a receipt or text message with a pin and serial number.

2. For more information, applicants can present the receipt to the nearby Study Centre Coordinator.

3. Online applicants should go to the school’s website, select Admissions, and then click on Apply Online.

4. All applicants are required to provide the necessary information on the large EMS envelope.

Submission of Completed Application Forms:

1. Two copies of completed online application forms accompanied by two copies of result slips, certificates, and transcripts should be sent to the nearest College of Distance Education (CoDE) study centers or to the Ghana Post.

2. Hard copies of the completed online application forms should reach the Admissions Unit, College of Distance Education no later than 8th October 2023 for MEE applicants and 5th November 2023 for DIRECT applicants.

3. No application forms will be processed if they are received without application reference numbers, photocopies of credentials, result slips, or transcripts’ final GPA.

4. For reference, keep copies of the confirmation page and the receipt with the pin and serial number.

5. When speaking with the college, please use the application reference number.

6. After the online application has been submitted, no changes to the program are permitted.

7. The costs for international applicants will be paid in US dollars.

MEE: Mature Entrance Examination

Those who apply to the aforementioned programs but do not satisfy the standards for direct entry may still be admitted if they pass the Mature Entrance Examination (MEE).

In order to increase applicants’ chances of passing the entrance examination, preparation sessions are offered at a few examination centers across the nation.

1. At the time of application, candidates seeking admission as Mature Candidates must be at least 25 years old.

2. A copy of the applicant’s birth certificate that is at least five years old as of the application deadline must be included.

3. Candidates need to possess one of the following: A minimum of WASSCE/SSSCE, NVTI, NABPTEX, or a Diploma in Business Studies (DBS) Certificate granted by the Technical Examination Unit of GES are all acceptable qualifications.

4. Applicants should have a background in the preferred program.

Special Papers:

Candidates who do not have credit passes at GCE ‘O’ Level (grade 6 or better) or WASSCE/SSSCE (grade C6/D or better) must take special exams in math and English.
