They drive mission-oriented research that helps to advance scientific discovery and technological innovations. Nanyang Technological University (NTU)

Furthermore, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), another sponsor of the Singapore International Graduate Award, is the second-oldest university in Singapore. The university ranks always among the top universities, globally.

Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD)

Singapore Management University (SMU)

This is a unique school where students can actually study and complete a full degree in a little time of three and a half years. Interestingly, this Singapore Management University is the first publicly-funded private university in Singapore. A 22-year-old university but it ranked 3rd in the whole of Asia and 26th worldwide, in the university rankings. Also, one of the sponsors of the Singapore International Graduate Award.

Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA)

Eligibility

  • First and foremost, scholarship is open for all international graduate students with a passion for research and excellent academic results
  • Secondly, you must have good skills in written and spoken English
  • Thirdly, you must have good reports from academic referees

Note that, eligibility criteria may change from time to time. So, it is not exhaustive.

Scholarship coverage

Also, the award/scholarship provides support for up to 4 years of Ph.D. studies and also includes:

  • Tuition fees
  • Monthly stipends of S$2,200 will be increased to S$2,700 after you pass the qualifying exam
  • One-time airfare grant of up to S$1,500
  • Also, a one-time settling-in allowance of S$1,000

  • Documents required

Valid Passport

A recent passport-sized photo (in jpeg or png format)

  • Transcripts and Reports

All transcripts need to be in English translation

Mandatory

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s academic transcripts
  • Bachelor’s degree certificate(s)/ scroll(s) or a letter of certification from the university on your candidature if your degree certificate/ scroll has not been conferred yet
  • 2 recommendation reports (to be completed and submitted online by the referees).

Optional

  • GRE/ IELTS/ TOEFL/ SAT I & II/ GATE results.

However, you should note that the university might ask you to submit satisfactory scores as part of the university admission requirement.

Submission Closing Date: June 1, 2023 (2359hrs GMT +8 Singapore time)

In the long run, shortlisted candidates will be notified within 12 weeks from the application closing date.
