School of Nursing Amachara Admission Requirements
Candidates seeking admission into the School of Nursing programme are required to meet certain academic requirements.
They must have an O’level credit in five core subjects: English, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.
These can be obtained from NECO, WASSCE, or NABTEB examinations, taken in not more than two sittings. Only candidates who meet the eligibility requirements will be invited for an interview.
How to Apply
Applications are obtained from the Nursing Services Department, Ministry of Health Umuahia, and New Secretariat Fourth Floor.
Also, you should know that there is a non-refundable payment of, Ten thousand naira (₦10,000.00) only in two (2) different banks (UBA and Zenith)

Can I Go to the School of Nursing Without WAEC?
The currently approved entry requirement is five (5) O’level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
This result must not be more than two (2) sittings from any of the following: West African Examination Council (WAEC), National Examination Council (NECO)
Can I Study Nursing without Biology?
While having a biology background for nursing studies is preferable, it is not always mandatory.
Many nursing programs have necessary conditions that may include biology, but some programs offer introductory biology courses as part of their curriculum to help students catch up.
What Certificate Does the School of Nursing Offer?
University nursing is a five-year course and u would be awarded a Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc) degree.
Meanwhile, the school of nursing is a 3-year course and you become a Registered Nurse RN/RNM kind of like a diploma. In the nursing hierarchy, BNSc is higher than RN.
