Paid with a bank account
Receiving payments through your bank account is probably the easiest and fastest way to get the grant; you can also avoid standing in line at the post office in person. According to the grant application, the monthly payments would be made into the beneficiary’s bank account. Please be aware that in order to ensure that payments are made to the relevant parties, the bank account information or mobile phone number provided for payment MUST be registered in the name of the accepted applicant used in the Covid-19 R350 grant application procedure.
Collection of Payments
People can pick up their grant money from Pick-N-Pay, Boxer, or Post Office branches (SAPO/Post Bank) if they don’t have any banking information. In addition, you could use a bank mobile money transfer (cash send option). Once you have received an SMS confirmation letting you know that payment has been confirmed, you can only claim the grant money. How can my R350 Grant be reevaluated?
If you see that the status of your Covid-19 SRD R350 grant application is “Reapplication Pending,” you should take the following actions to challenge that status:
- Please visit the SRD website at https://srd.sassa.gov.za.
- The “Application for Reconsideration” tab should be selected.
- Choose “Click here to apply for reconsideration” after that.
- Please provide your phone number and ID number.
- Finish the remaining steps to request a review of your payment.
Access the SRD SASSA Gov Login
On the official SASSA website, located at srd.sassa.gov.za, grant applicants can also monitor the progress of their SRD grant applications at this time.
- Use this link on the online dashboard to access the SASSA official website’s SRD grant application status: https://srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/status
- Type in the applicant’s South African ID number.
- The phone number you used to submit the application should be entered.
Reconfirmation by SASSA is no longer necessary.
People are no longer obliged to reconfirm their subsidies every three months, SASSA said on September 9. Many people did not like this protocol. Individuals are no longer required to submit answers to screening questions every three months, under SASSA laws, which have not been changed.
