The Rufus Giwa Polytechnic (RUGIPO) is an institution that aims to promote technical, and vocational education and training, technology transfer as well as skills development to enhance the country’s socio-economic advancement.

Rufus Giwa Polytechnic which was formerly known and addressed as “The Ondo State Polytechnic, Owo” was established in 1979 while it commenced activities in January 1980.
RUGIPO is concerned with the teaching and research for the achievement of excellence particularly in the knowledge of technology, science, and management.
However, the Management of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic has stated that all Applicants are to take notes of their Admission Requirements in anticipation of Applying for Admission.

Entry Requirements
Admission into all full-time (National Diploma) programmes is through the UTME, being handled by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
Candidates are to check the JAMB Brochure for the general entry requirements concerning Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo.
However, candidates must possess five credit passes in the following subjects:
1. English Language
2. Mathematics
3. Physics
4. Chemistry
5. Chemistry

Pay the necessary fees through UNIFIED payments Platform using a master card or verve card at any Commercial Bank throughout Nigeria. The total cost for the screening fee, administrative fee, and portal fee is ₦2,000.00 only.

2. Locate the ‘Admission Status’ column and supply your JAMB Registration Number/Application Number in the required column.
3. Click on ‘Check Status’ to access your RUGIPO admission status.
Entry Requirements into Higher National Diploma Programmes
Candidates for the Higher National Diploma Programmes must possess a National Diploma (ND) Certificate from Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, or from any other Polytechnic recognized by the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic.
Owo obtained at the Distinction or Credit Level plus one-year post-ND qualification working Experience.
Candidates must also possess five O’Level Credit passes in relevant subjects. Candidates with a grade of pass at the National Diploma (ND) level will require two years of Industrial Attachment.
