The management of the National Service Scheme (NSS) has today April 28 2023 released the registration of a total of One Hundred and Ten Thousand and Nine (110,009) PIN Codes for eligible Ghanaian final year students from all accredited tertiary institutions in the country to enable them to enrol to do their mandatory national service for the 2023/2024 service year.
National Service Scheme (NSS) Registration Procedure – 2023/2024 Service Year
All prospective national service personnel is, therefore, requested to follow the procedures on this page to access their PIN Codes with their respective index numbers, and to proceed to any branch of Agricultural Development Bank Ltd (ADB) throughout the country to make payment of an amount of GH¢40.00 or GH¢41.00 using MTN Mobile Money to activate the enrolment process.
All eligible nurses who registered for national service are requested to log onto www.nss.gov.gh on the Scheme’s website to check their placements and then proceed to the various user agencies to endorse their appointment letters.
How to Register National Service Scheme (NSS) 2023 – Portal.Nss.Gov.Gh/check-Posting
- Go to the NSS Registration Portal via https://portal.nss.gov.gh/
- enter your username
- (School Index number or ID number), and your password (payment pincode) to login and access NSS application form.
STEP 2
You should now be on the first page of the NSS Application form (Applicant Info). Please confirm all the information displayed is yours and correct. If not, please contact Live Chat for support. Select the means of Identification you intend to submit, and enter the ID number.
For any of the IDs you have selected, below is the details the system requires you to enter for ID confirmation
- Voters ID Card: Required detail is the Voters ID Number as printed exactly on the card.
- Passport: Required detail is the Official Ghana passport
- Driver’s License: Required details are Certificate of Competence number, and name as written exactly on the license
- SSNIT Card: Required details is the SSNIT number.
STEP 3 – 2023 NSS REGISTRATION
The system would compare the information on your ID, and that submitted by your Institution and would provide you with an Identity Match Score.

| GOOD | Identity information is good enough |
| FAIR | Identity information need further investigation |
| BAD | Identity information needs further investigation |
Note:Personnel with scores FAIR and BAD would need further approval from NSS before final posting. However, everyone can proceed to fill in the form.
