The recruitment portal for the Naval Corps by the Nigerian Navy will soon be opened and this is a general public announcement to all who are interested.

After the just concluded NNBTS BATCH 35, the national call for more intakes of the BATCH 36 will start soon.

Applications for recruitment into the Nigerian Navy through the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School (NNBTS BATCH 36) are officially welcomed and must be a qualified Nigerian.

The online registration is open from January 2 to February 2 which is the deadline. This is a one-month interval for aspirants to apply for recruitment following the right procedures.

How to Apply

1. The first step to apply for the Nigerian Navy recruitment is to search for the Nigerian Navy’s online and access their portal or homepage.

2. Read through the rules and regulations of the page, create an account to be able to apply, or log in if you already have an account.

3. After creating your account or Logging in, you must fill in the spaces with your correct information and click on the “apply” button.

4. Remember to update all your academic and personal information as specified within the requirements during registration.

5. Print out your Naval application slip and other documents that are to be signed by respective individuals and offices and get ready for your Naval Aptitude Test.

How to Check Naval Applicants List

The steps to checking if you have been listed are very simple and require a little skill provided you have a phone and an internet connection.

1. The Naval portal homepage or login page is your starting point.

2. Log into your account and click on the “Check Status” or “Shortlist status” tag within your dashboard.

Sometimes, an email or text message is sent to you via your email address or your phone number to notify you of your listing.

Application Requirements

There are several requirement categories to be considered when applying for the Nigerian Navy Recruitment.

However, note that forged or false information is an offense. Only qualifications during the recruitment exercise will be accepted, corrections afterward will not be accepted.

Academic and Age Requirements

1. Applicant must have at least 5 credits in WASSCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB, including English and Mathematics, with exceptions for the sports category.

2. Applicant must be of age. The acceptable ranges are between 18-22 years for school certificate holders and 18-26 years for higher qualifications.

Citizenship and Marital Status Requirements

1. The applicant must be a Nigerian citizen by birth, clauses for honourary and dual citizenship will have to be reviewed.

2. Being married or nursing a child isn’t an acceptable criterion. You must be single to be eligible.

Physical Requirements

Your physical appearance and measurement are also a necessary factor to qualify. You should attain a Height of about 1.69m for males and 1.65m for females.

1. Every applicant must possess a National Identification Number (NIN) and a Bank Verification Number (BVN) as one of the requirements for applying to the Navy.

Other means of identification could be appreciated but these 2 are basic.

2. Proof of birth certificate or age declaration, credentials, completed identification and consent forms, and passport photographs.

Educational/Professional Qualifications

1. Various educational qualifications are accepted, including WASSCE/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB, OND, and equivalent.

However, a primary school leaving certificate is required at the selection interview.

2. Bring scratch cards for NECO and WAEC results.

Application Tips

The program application serves as the basis for evaluation; there is no separate application process. Selection is made following program applications.

Members of the public are requested to note the following information on the method of application:

1. The application is free of charge. Applicants are advised to apply once as multiple applications/registrations will be disqualified.

2. On submission, Applicants are to print out copies of the completed Application Forms together with the following Forms:

i. Applicant’s Declaration and Certification by Parent/Guardian Form.

ii. Local Government Area Certification Form.

iii. Police Certification Form.

iv. Guarantor Form.

v. For Official Use Only Form

Applicants are to come to the recruitment examination centers with the endorsed printed-out copies of their online completed Forms.
