What Is Middle-Class Scholarship

It is a scholarship program that awards scholarships to undergraduate students to attend the University of California (UC).

Or California State University (CSU) schools with family incomes up to $201,000* and a maximum yearly household asset amount of $201,000*.

Several factors, including family income, assets, and other financial aid awards, will affect the maximum scholarship amount.

 For students whose family income does not exceed $191,000 and whose household assets do not exceed $191,000. 

MCS will pay between 10% and 40% of the system’s tuition and fees.

What to See in Middle-Class Scholarship

  1. The Middle-Class Scholarship (MCS) offers undergraduate students. including those pursuing teaching credentials, and financial aid to attend a Bachelor’s degree program at a California State University (CSU), University of California (UC), or California Community College.
  2.  Depending on your educational level at the time the MCS award was given, you may get it for up to 4 years.
  3. The CA Dream Act Application should be filled out by students who do not have a Social Security number, a U or TPS visa, or DACA (including those who lost DACA or never filed for DACA).

The “available resources” of a student are these three things taken as a whole.
