Edo State University Uzairue a state government owned tertiary institution founded in 2016. It is situated in Iyamho, a town in Etsako West local government area of Edo State, Nigeria, is currently seeking to award full scholarships to deserving students who scored a minimum of 260 in the UTME and partial scholarships to deserving indigent Edo State students who scored a minimum of 180 in the UTME.
Undergraduate Full Scholarship Award (UFSA) will be granted for the duration of the candidate’s chosen program. This scholarship will be awarded to a maximum of five (5) individuals who have proven academic distinction and selected EDSU Uzairue as their first choice university when taking the UTME.
Indigent Students Scholarship Award (SSA):
The Indigent Students Scholarship Award (SSA) will cover solely tuition fees for the duration of any chosen program. This award is part of Edo State University Uzairue’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative to ensure that all Nigerians have access to high-quality education.
Note: The National Universities Commission has approved the university as Nigeria’s 41st state university on March 23, 2016. Edo State University offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees, as well as research opportunities.
In the first ever Open Educational Resources (OER) survey performed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) Institutional repository in 2008, the University was ranked top among State government-owned universities and third overall in Nigeria.
Qualifications for an EDSU Undergraduate Scholarship
To be eligible for the Undergraduate Full Scholarship Award, the candidate must have picked Edo State University Uzairue as his or her first choice of university at the time of writing the UTME (UFSA).
To be eligible for the Undergraduate Indigent Students Scholarship Award, the candidate must have picked Edo State University Uzairue or any other NUC recognized university as his or her first choice of university during the UTME (ISSA)
For admittance to his or her course of study, the candidate must have met the entry requirements.
The candidate must be able to communicate well in both written and spoken English (please note that the CBT is an important mode of assessment for determining the best applicants)
To be eligible for the Undergraduate Indigent Students Scholarship Award, candidates from Edo State must produce proof of indigency (iSSA).
