Dennis R. Washington and Jim F. Dicke II, the Horatio Alger Association members, have donated money to the Vocational & Technical Scholarship Program.

And including books, supplies, travel, and other personal charges, may be covered with the money.

Hence, the recipient of the Horatio Alger Scholarship pays all scholarship money directly to the institution.

Horatio Alger Scholarship Eligibility

• You must be a junior in high school enrolled full-time in the United States
• Demonstrate a strong desire to enroll in and complete a bachelor’s program at a non-profit, accredited university in the United States (students may start their studies at a two-year institution and then transfer to a four-year institution)
• You also have to prove a severe lack of funds (adjusted gross family income must be $55,000 or less).
• Also, Participate in extracurricular and volunteer activities.
• You have to show honesty and tenacity in overcoming challenges.
• Remember to keep your grade point average (GPA) at least at 2.0).
• You must  be a  U.S. citizenship
• You must speak English fluently.
