Any student who wants to start a new qualification must apply for admission through their online application Portal. This online application window is open for;
1. First-time Grand Valley State University GVSU applicants
2. Grand Valley State University GVSU students changing to a new qualification and/or specialization
3. Applicants who previously applied for admission and were not offered a space or who were offered a space accepted the offer and did not register
4. Students completing a higher certificate or any other program and who wish to continue with further undergraduate studies
How to Apply
Before starting the application process, check out the application process for your program.
Applying for admission as an Undergraduate Student use the instructions below.
1. Go to the official website page.
2. Select the “Apply now” option. If you don’t have an account you can’t access the application page.
3. Please pay attention to your time. After twenty (20) minutes of inactivity, your application session will expire. If that happens, do not submit another application.
4. Be sure that you will be able to complete your application in one sitting. The application will close once you click the submit button and you will not be able to return to the application.
Do not click “submit” until you are confident that all changes or corrections have been made. If you realize that you have forgotten or omitted information, please do not enter a second application.
Note: If you are unable to apply online, you may submit a paper application by printing forms and sending them to the Admissions Office at the address indicated on the right of the portal.

How to Create a New Account
1. You must create a login name to start the application process.
2. To do so, click the “First Time User Account Creation” link at the bottom of the application screen to create your login name and password.
3. Your login name will be needed to access your application in the future. Please write it down and store it in a safe place.
4. You must also have a valid email address to complete the application. All official communications will be sent to that email address until your AAMU email address is created.
Admission Requirements
1. Complete and submit the undergraduate application for admission.
2. Provide your official high school transcript along with any necessary supporting documentation.
3. Applications are reviewed based on high school courses completed, cumulative GPA, standardized test scores (if submitted), grade point trend, class rank, and other factors provided by the applicant.
4. It’s recommended to have completed specific high school subjects, including 4 years of English, and 3 years of science (with 2 years of laboratory science).
3 years of college preparatory mathematics, 3 years of social science, and 2 years of a single foreign language.
Tuition and Payment Methods
The tuition and fees of various aspirants and returning students of the school depend on various criteria. Some of these criteria are residency and credit loads.
Some others depend on the programs and level of degree pursued. so to further understand how much your fees should be, you should access your student portal and try making payment.
For Payment methods, international students will have to use means other than wire deposits that cannot be made directly to GVSU.
However, all aspirants can use credit cards, debit cards, demand drafts, traveler’s checks, and Western Union for payment.
