Efya Net Worth
When she started out as a musician she maintained her relevance without an album and only released her studio album later in her career.
This is Efya’s journey and story of how she has remained at the top of her game.
She was named Jane Fara Fauzzier Afia Boafowaa Yahaya Awindor.
She has two brothers and a sister. The three of them are the children of Nana Adwoa Awindor, a filmmaker and celebrity.
Efya was raised in a household that allowed her to show her potential at a young age and it was nurtured throughout her upbringing.
She relocated to Accra when her mother enrolled at the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI) film school.
Due to her talent, she earned a 3-year record deal. The recording deal allowed her to be featured on the album titled Unveiled, which was released in South Africa.
“When I decided to go solo, it made sense at the time to reinvent myself in every way, I wanted a name that was African and unique but at the same time relevant to me in some way. My manager, Jimmi, helped me come up with the name Efya.”
She had her debut mixtape T.I.N.T that was released in 2013 November. The name is an acronym for This Is Not The Album.
In 2013, she had an interview with Alexis Stephens for the show MTV Iggy, Efya spoke about the album and mentioned that it will contain numerous love songs and added that the album will talk about topics of hate and pain. Efya highlighted that the album is from her personal experiences.
Efya had more eyes looking her way after she was featured by the Nigerian musician Wizkid after he released his single “Daddy Yo”. The vocals were uncredited but Efya makes an appearance in the music video.
Efya continues growing her brand and has recently released new work featuring Tiwa Savage, the song gained momentum after it was posted on social media by Sarkodie.
