What Requirements are Needed to Study Human Resource Management?

The requirements needed to study human resource management for both the certificate courses and diploma courses are listed below;

Certificate in Human Resource Management (CHRM) Admission Requirements

1. KCSE D plain (KNEC) or equivalent qualification acceptable by KNQA.

2. Related artisan qualifications may also be accepted.

The certificate program is divided into 2 modules, each with 2 terms of 3 months. Business Plan is completed in Module 1, and the Research Project in Module 2.

Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management Admission Requirements

1. Holders of a First Degree from a recognized university PLUS KCSE grade C+.

2. Another is a Holder of a Diploma in Personnel Management (BTEP) examined by KNEC.

3. Holders of a Diploma in Human Resource Management (TIVET) examined by KNEC.

4. Lastly, Holders of Diplomas acceptable by KNEC.

The program is delivered through lecture mode for one year, divided into 2 semesters of five months each. The Saturday class option takes 1½ years to complete.

How to Apply 

Follow the steps below to apply to the college;

1. Obtain the application forms from CHRM Ufundi Plaza Offices, 3rd & 4th Floor, by paying a non-refundable fee of Ksh. 1,000/=.

2. Deposit the application fee into the College of Human Resource Management’s bank account at Kenya Commercial Bank – Biashara Street Branch.

Account No. 1180194667 and in favor of the College of Human Resource Management (CHRM).

3. Submit the completed application form and the following documents:

  • Copies of Degree/Diploma certificates
  • KCSE Certificate
  • Copy of National ID
  • Birth Certificate
  • Affidavit or Marriage certificate (if using different names)
  • Passport-size photographs (two copies)

Send the application package to college@chrm.or.ke or deliver it to CHRM College, P.O. Box 4322-00200, Nairobi, Kenya.
