Most times, when they show Lagos on the internet, they mostly show the slums, ghettos and shanty towns of Lagos. This is usually what is portrayed to the international community.

Yeah, it’s true that Lagos has slums and ghettos, but it is important to balance the reports that have only portrayed Lagos as a slum and a ghetto. This is why we want show you some of the beautiful places in Lagos.

Famous people like international star Cardi B, compared Lagos City to New York city, due to the bubbling nature that both cities have in common. Another common characteristics/history of both cities, is that they are the major financial centres of their respective countries and former Capitals.

Lagos can’t be compared to New York in any way, but Lagos city had also done well for herself. Lagos is one of the fastest growing cities in the world, it is also a major financial centre and the city with the fourth highest GDP in Africa

Lagos initially emerged as a port city that originated from the collection of many islands that are continued in the present day Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Lagos Island. Eti-Osa, Amuwo-Odofin and Apapa are separated by creeks that are around the Lagos lagoon.

There are so many things to talk about this city. But whether good or bad, one thing that we can all agree on is that; Lagos is not like any other city in Africa.

We have other cities in Nigeria but if we put tribalism and favouritism aside, we will all agree that there’s no place like Lagos in Nigeria. Lagos is a city of hustlers, the lifestyle in Lagos is not like any other place. Lagos is also the entertainment capital of Nigeria and it also has many headquarters of big industries. (1) Lekki Conservation Centre

Location: Km 19 Lekki – Epe Expy, Lekki Penninsula II 106104, Lekki

Lekki Conservation is one of the tourist attractions in Lagos State. There are some lovely animals for you to see in this park and the most interesting part of Lekki Conservation is the Canopy walk. It’s high up in the air, and you don’t have to be the faint of heart, if you want to go on a Canopy walk. This is an amazing place that you should visit with either your lover or your friends. Nike Art Gallery is owned by the talented Artist and Designer Nike Davies Okundaye. She invites you to come and visit and explore her beautiful art gallery that is located in the Lekki area of Lagos. While she is known for her colorful batik and paintings that offers a modernist gloss on traditional themes, she was brought up amidst the traditional weaving and dying practiced in her native village of Ogidi in Western Nigeria.
