Please note admissions is competitive and meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.

Also, the Washington University Admission Requirements are a Minimum of 60% in English 30-1 or a minimum of 65% in English 30-2 or the provincial equivalent. Minimum 60% in three additional Grade 12 courses.

Your admission to Central Washington University is dependent on you meeting the specific general admission requirements for your chosen qualification.

CWU Minimum entry criteria: Year-end school report for Grade 9 or approved equivalent qualification.

1. Go to Central Washington University Admission Requirement Portal 

2. A Minimum of 60% in English 30-1 or a minimum of 65% in English 30-2 or provincial equivalent. Minimum 60% in three additional Grade 12 courses in Fine Arts, Humanities (eg. Social Studies).

Also, with Math, Science, or Career and Technology Studies (CTS). A maximum of three credits can be CTS and is equal to one course.

All applicants starting a new qualification must upload all the required documents, which generally consist of the following:

1. English 30-1

2. Four other eligible 30-level subjects

3. Of these four subjects, a maximum of one eligible 30-level Fine Arts course may be used.

4. Your admission average will automatically be calculated on the 5 highest grades that meet these requirements.

Step 2. Pay the Application Fee

The $60 application fee is non-refundable.

If this creates a barrier, there are more opportunities for a fee waiver in the application.

Step 3. Submit Your High School or College Transcripts

To complete your admission process, you need to submit your official high school or college transcripts.

Also, to ensure that your transcript is considered official, please have it sent directly from your institution.

If you are in the middle of the quarter don’t worry! We accept in-progress transcripts as well. Please send your final, official transcript upon graduating.
