WASSCE/SSSCE APPLICANTS
An applicant for admission to a degree Programme in the University must have CREDITS in the THREE WASSCE/SSSCE Core Subjects (English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science), and CREDITS in THREE WASSCE/SSSCE Elective Subjects or its equivalent relevant to the chosen Programme with aggregate 24 or better (WASSCE: A1- C6/SSSCE A-D) D7, E8 & F9 ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR ADMISSION PURPOSES.
** It is worth noting that the THREE CORE SUBJECTS are prerequisite for all Programmes of study at our University
GENERAL BUSINESS CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION (GBCE)
Applicants must have passes in THREE Compulsory Subjects including English Language and passes in THREE Elective Subjects including Business Mathematics.
ADVANCED LEVEL/MATURE APPLICANTS
Applicants must have FIVE credits at the GCE O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics (or its approved equivalent), plus passes in at least THREE subjects at the Advanced Level/Three Credits in the case of mature applicants. In addition, the applicant must fulfill the appropriate Faculty or Departmental requirements.

For (E), Mature Applicants with Certificate in Forestry must have attained the age of 25 years at the time of submitting the Application Forms and a minimum of TWO (2) Years post qualification experience in a related field of Natural Resources Management.

BSc. AQUACULTURE AND WATER RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Applicant with the SSSCE/WASSCE certificate (Science Option) must in addition to credit in the three core subjects (English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science), obtain credits in Chemistry plus either Physics, or Mathematics and Biology or General Agriculture and with aggregate 24 or
II. Advance Level/Mature Applicants

III. Higher National Diploma and Other Diploma Holders
Applicants who have a relevant Diploma with Distinction may be admitted to Year Two (2) of the Programme after successful completion of their National Service. Other categories of relevant Diploma holders may be admitted following Two (2) years Work Experience and subsequent interview or selection examination as may be deemed necessary. HND holders must have met all the requisite passes in English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science at GCE O’ Level, WASSCE or equivalent.

BSc. PHYSIOTHERAPY AND SPORTS SCIENCE
WASSCE/SSSCE APPLICANTS
Credit passes in THREE (3) core subjects including English Language, Integrated Science, Mathematics and Credit passes in any THREE (3) elective subjects in Biology, Chemistry and either Mathematics or Physics.
A’ LEVEL HOLDERS
Credit passes in FIVE (5) subjects at GCE Ordinary Level including English Language and Mathematics and Three (3) Credit passes at Advanced Level in Biology, Chemistry and either Mathematics or Physics.
FOREIGN APPLICANTS
Who have any of the above qualifications or their equivalent from an accredited/recognized institutions.
MATURE APPLICANTS
Mature students who have attained the age of 25 years or above at the time of application.
And
Applicants must have obtained credit passes (A1-C6/ A-D) in the following Three (3) Core Subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science plus credit passes (A1-C6/A-D) in three (3) elective subjects in Biology, Chemistry and either Mathematics or Physics at WASSCE/SSSCE. In addition, they must have worked for at least three (3) years. These applicants will be considered for admission into year one.

Candidates who have relevant Diploma certificates in Sports and Exercise Science, Fitness Assessment, Physiotherapy and Orthotic Assistant, Coaching etc and who must have worked for at least three (3) years will be considered for admission into year two.
In addition to all of the above, candidates must be declared medically fit by the University Hospital and must undergo a physical fitness assessment and must pass a(n) written and/or oral interview conducted at the Department.
DOCTOR OF PHARMACY (PHARM D) 6-YEARS

Credits passes in THREE (3) Elective Subjects: Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics.
A’ LEVEL APPLICANTS

DOCTOR OF PHARMACY (PHARM D) TOP-UP (FEE-PAYING)
A Degree in Pharmacy with at least THREE (3) years post-registration experience. An interview will be required.
Duration of the Programme: Two (2) years.
Mode of Delivery: Modular and sandwich. The taught courses will be delivered on-site with face-to-face interaction between Lecturer and Students on a schedule of an average of one week per month, coupled with E-Learning. The practical sections will take place at selected study sites.
BHM. HERBAL MEDICINE
WASSCE/SSSCE APPLICANTS

GRADUATES
Bachelor degree holders in the Life Sciences (Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Medical Laboratory Technology, Herbal Medicine and Sports and Exercise Science,) will be placed in year two (2) of the programme whilst applicants with BSc. Nursing will be placed in year three
(3) of the programme after a successful interview. Successful applicants will be exempted from some courses already studied.
OTHER APPLICANTS
Mature applicants (aged 25 years and above) who are holders of diploma in Physiotherapy, Dental Assistantship, Medical Assistants, Laboratory Technician programme, Pharmacy Technician programme and the Registered General Nursing Diploma with at least Three (3) years post qualification experience and a good pass at the diploma level may be admitted to the first year of the programme after a successful interview. Such candidates may also be required to satisfy the University’s general requirements for admission to degree programmes
