Akwa Ibom State College of Art & Science invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its Higher National Diploma full/part-time programmes for the 2023/2024 academic session.

Applications are hereby invited from candidates for admission into Full-Time/Part-Time PRE-NATIONAL DIPLOMA, NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) and HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) programmes into Akwa Ibom State College of Science and Technology for 2023/2024 Academic Session.
PROGRAMMES AND ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
1. PROGRAMMES AVAILABLE FOR FULL-TIME and PART-TIME (ND, 2 YEARS)
(A) SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT STUDIES
(i) Accountancy (Accountancy, Banking & Finance Options)
(ii) Business Administration (Marketing & Public Admin. Options)
(iii) Mass Communication
(B) SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING AND APPLIED SCIENCES
(i) Computer Engineering
(ii) Computer Science
(iii) Electrical/Electronics Engineering
(iv) Science Laboratory Technology
(v) Statistics
(vi) Agricultural Engineering Technology
(C) SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES
(i) Architectural Technology
(ii) Building Technology
(iii) Estate Management
(iv) Quantity Surveying
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
(i) Candidates with five O’ level Credit Pass in not more than two (2) sittings and must score a minimum of 150 in 2015/2016 UTME.
(ii) Candidates with Five O’ level Credit Pass in not more than two sittings but scored below 150 in 2015/2016 UTME.
(iii) Candidates without UTME but with five O level credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings.
(iv) Candidates with deficiency in one or more subjects in O’ Level Result.
(v) Candidates awaiting Result may also apply.
2. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) COURSES
(i) Accountancy
(ii) Computer Science
(iii) Electrical/Electronics Engineering
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
(i) Candidates who possess ND (National Diploma) from a recognised institution in relevant courses with a minimum of Lower Credit
(ii) Candidates with Pass may also be considered
3. PART-TIME PROGRAMME (4.00 – 7.00PM)
Available in all courses offered at the Polytechnic at ND and HND Levels
4. PROFESSIONAL COURSES AND TRAININGS
We have seasoned and tested professionals who train students for professional courses like ATSWA, ICAN, Professional examinations and CIBN at all levels, we also train students in information technology courses like Networking, Web Technology and general Systems Maintenance and Repairs as well as trainings in Solar Energy.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Forms are obtainable at the office of the Registrar, AKWA IBOM STATE COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, NUNG UKIM, IKONO with a non-refundable fee of #5,500 (five thousand, Five Hundred naira only). Completed application form with evidence of payments, must be returned to the Registrar, AKWA IBOM STATE COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, NUNG UKIM, IKONO.
