Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education
Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education (AOCOED) was established in October 1979 to address the need for qualified teachers in Lagos State. The college is located in Otto-Ijanikin, a suburb of Lagos State.
AOCOED began operations on January 15, 1980, with 239 students and 10 academic staff. The pioneer Provost of the college was Chief E.A. Adebanjo.
The college started with programs in Science, Arts, and Social Sciences. Home Economics and Agricultural Science were introduced in the 1981/82 and 1982/83 academic sessions, respectively.
