The college previously offered certificate courses for primary school teachers such as the Primary Teachers’ Certificate, Zambia Basic Education and the Zambia Teacher Education Course. ZATEC was the last certificate course to be offered by the college until 2015 when it was phased out. From 2015 the college introduced the Primary Teachers’ Diploma which is a three-year diploma programme underwritten by the University of Zambia. In the same year the college introduced the Primary Teachers’ Diploma by Distance Learning, an in-service distance education programme. 2015 has seen the introduction of Early Childhood Education programme and the Secondary Teachers’ Diploma Science and Mathematics.

Mathematics Education, Science Education, Expressive Arts (with Music, Art & Design and Physical Education as contributory subjects), Education & Professional Studies (also houses Early Childhood Education), Technology Studies (with Industrial Arts and Home Economics as contributory subjects), Integrated Social Sciences, Literacy & Language Education.
