ESUT Admission Requirements

We have provided a link for you to check that, but note that every school announces the JAMB/General cut-off mark but not all announce the departmental cut-off mark. Some announce it while some do not!

Nonetheless, ensure you prepare well for both UTME and Post UTME!

Here are the requirements for candidates who wish to gain admission into ESUT through JAMB (UTME):

1. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 credits in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) Ordinary Level Credits in a maximum of 2 sittings.

2. You must choose the correct JAMB subject combination for your course. Check the JAMB Brochure!

3. Candidates must achieve a minimum score of 180 in the just concluded JAMB UTME examination to qualify for admission into the Enugu State University of Science and Technology.

4. You need to participate in ESUT POST UTME/SCREENING to be considered for admission, if applicable for the year.

5. Candidates must be at least 16 years old.

Additional requirements may apply for some programmes and you can view these after selecting the Programme and entry-level on the school website when you are about to obtain the post-UTME form.

ESUT Admission Requirements For Direct Entry 

Below, find the admission requirements for candidates wishing to gain admission into Enugu State University of Science and Technology ESUT through Direct Entry:

1. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 credits in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) Ordinary Level Credits in a maximum of 2 sittings.

2. Candidates must possess A level/IJMB passes in two subjects related to their course.

3. JUPEB/A Level passes in related subjects.

4. Degree (First Class/Second Class Upper) in related fields for your course of choice.

5. Direct entry candidates must purchase the ESUT Direct Entry form through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and ESUT Portal.

6, A minimum of Merit Pass in the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND), and other Advanced Level Certificates is required.

Some programmes may have additional requirements, which can be viewed after selecting the programme and entry-level at the school website when obtaining the post-UTME form.

What is the ESUT Cut-off Mark?

The general cut-off mark for ESUT is 160, except for some competitive courses such as Medicine and Surgery, Law, Medical Laboratory Science, Nursing Science, and Pharmacy, which have a higher cut-off mark of 200.
