Scholarship Worth : $12,000.00

To be eligible for this scholarship:

  • the candidate must be enrolled in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Environmental).

Value of Award

This scholarship is valued @ £2,500 and is awarded as a tuition fee contribution which is often paid directly to the School of Civil Engineering on behalf of the award holder.

How to Apply

The awards are made automatically to all eligible students admitted to the School of Civil Engineering at the University of Birmingham who applied by the end of September to commence studies in the October of the year they entered.

Chicago Engineers’ Foundation Incentive Award

Amount: $1,000

Scholarship Description

The Chicago Engineers’ Foundation makes provision for this incentive awards to graduating high school seniors who live or go to school in the city of Chicago and who are also accepted to an accredited college or university engineering programs.

To be eligible for an initial CEF award, the candidate must be a graduating high school senior living or going to school in the city of Chicago.

The candidate must have plans to study engineering and receive acceptance from an accredited undergraduate engineering program and must maintain a minimum 2.5-grade point average.

A minimum 990 SAT score or 21 ACT will also be required of the candidate required.

Connecticut Building Congress Scholarships

The Connecticut Building Congress Scholarship award program offers scholarships to graduating from Connecticut high school students.

These are students entering college-level programs in architecture, construction-related engineering like civil, electrical, environmental, landscape architecture, surveying, planning, etc.

West Virginia Division of Highways Scholarships

Scholarship Worth : $12,000.00

To be eligible for this scholarship:

  • the candidate must be enrolled in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Environmental).
  • the applicant must be a West Virginia resident
  • the candidate must have a minimum overall (cumulative) CGPA of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale.

Applications are being accepted between May 1st and June 30th  of every year.

Candidates will be notified of the granting or not granting of a scholarship by August 15th of the application year.

George M. Binder – KSPE Scholarship

The scholarship is often awarded on the basis of a candidate who can demonstrate that, through their engineering studies and extracurricular involvement, they can provide the greatest contribution to the engineering profession while maintaining a good grade point average nonetheless.

The following specific criteria will be demanded (note that financial need will not be considered)

  • Overall GPA
  • Civic and Volunteer Organizations.  (Include any leadership positions.)
  • Professional Activities such as engineering society, scientific society, other professional organizations.  (Include any offices that the candidate now holds or have held in the past.)
  • Professional publications
  • “Work Experience. Include the type of work and length of employment.
  • *Credit will be given for involvement in KSPE or the student Chapter of KSPE
  • *a written paragraph of less than one (1)page on why you want to be an Engineer.

Society of Women Engineers Scholarship

Application System

The SWE Scholarship award Program is here to provide financial assistance to women studying engineering, engineering technology, and computer science.

In the year 2023,  the SWE awarded approximately 238 new candidates and renewed scholarships valued at over $830,000.

A few main eligibility points:

  • Only candidates who identify as a female can apply.
  • Undergraduate or community college candidates must be planning to study an Abet accredited program in engineering, technology, or computing in the upcoming academic year.
  • The candidate must have intentions to attend full time (note that exceptions are made for reentry and non-traditional applicants, however ).
  • A scholar must not be fully funded for tuition, fees, and books and equivalent.
  • The candidate’s transcripts must be in English.

The American Council of Engineering Companies Scholarship (New York)

The American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC New York) designed this program to award a number of scholarships to undergraduate students intending to become consulting engineers someday.

At least twenty (20) scholarships will provide a stipend of $2,500, as well as two (2) scholarships of $5,000, which is always issued via check to be utilized only during the student’s final year of undergraduate study at one of the approved engineering schools in New York State.

Only students having completed either their third (3rd) year of study (4-year program) or the fourth year of study (5-year program) by June in the year 2023 are eligible to receive the scholarship.
